Breakfast, lunch, dinner?

For lunch or dinner, we definitely recommend the Śląska Prohibicja restaurant. It's one of the best restaurants in Silesia and annually ranked in Poland's TOP 100. It boasts an excellent menu and a unique interior. You can't miss it! For breakfast, head to Plac Wyzwolenia (Liberation Square), where you'll find charming cafes and bakeries like Café Byfyj. Both places are just a 3-minute walk from the apartment.
If you want to try something more, here are a few more places worth recommending:
  • Szczęście jest (Happiness Exists) and Zicherka 2.0 - great breakfast restaurants.
  • Żurownia - a place with character, local cuisine, and the strong flavors of Silesia. A good option if you're looking for authenticity and a cozy atmosphere.
  • Okiem i Brzuchem - atmospheric, informal, delicious, and affordable.
  • Tatiana - a restaurant with history, traditional accents, formal but not pompous.
  • Sakana Sushi - the best sushi in town :-) All locations are within a 15-minute drive.

Visit the tunnels and mines

Discover the extraordinary world of underground secrets in the heart of Silesia! The Luiza Adit in Zabrze is the only tourist route in Europe that can be traveled underground by boat – navigating the narrow corridors is truly impressive and allows you to feel like a true explorer. The Guido Mine, meanwhile, takes you 355 meters underground, where you can experience a unique journey through the mine workings, ride an authentic suspended railway, and experience the history of the miners' hard work.

This is a place where the past intertwines with emotions – the austere, industrial interiors are truly impressive, and professional guides immerse you in extraordinary stories of ancient mining. The lowest level of the Guido Mine also houses the legendary Pub 355, the deepest pub in Europe.

By visiting the Luiza Adit and the Guido Mine, you will experience an unforgettable adventure that will long remain in your memory – an attraction for both adults and families with children, a perfect combination of education, history, and exceptional excitement.

Both attractions are just a 20-minute drive away.

Go for a walk in the largest park in Poland

Silesian Park is the green heart of the metropolitan area – one of the largest urban parks in Europe, covering over 600 hectares. It's the perfect place to relax, stroll, or actively spend time outdoors. Among the paths and vast expanses of greenery, you'll find unique attractions: the Silesian Stadium, the Elka Cable Car, which allows you to admire the park from a completely new perspective, the Planetarium, the Legendia Amusement Park, and the Silesian Zoo. You'll also find fantastic restaurants and a microbrewery there.

By visiting Silesian Park, you'll discover a unique combination of nature, culture, and entertainment all in one place – it's a must-see destination in Silesia, a place you'll want to return to any time of year.

The park is a 15-minute drive from the apartment.

We also recommend Katowice Forest Park for walks.
